I'd expect to see a 1,000 home development in Houston or Dallas, but not the Baton Rouge market.
Horton tends to go after the first time homebuyer, young families, and retirees. Typical national production builder like Pulte or Lennar. I think they have a few neighborhoods in southern Livingston that flooded in 2016.
The public schools will keep the homes relatively valuable at least.

We just looked at a 1500 home development in Denton County (DFW). They are all over the place 500-1000ish development in the middle of basically farming areas.
