So this is the only social media site where people repost Trump's "candid" musings which were posted on other social media which anyone can join?

Yeah, well you also said that folks who think their sect 230 claims are bullshite don't understand the law. There's a case here, and it wont be the first time they've had to defend themselves on this. Sooner or later, you run out of sympathetic judges.

So excuse me as I kindly disregard your snarky little retort.

I'm guessing you are not old enough to have experienced remember the break up of ATT and the Bell system..

By hook or by crook, these things will happen. So prepare to say goodbye to your tech geek overlords...

They certainly haven't helped themselves by doing everything under the sun to destroy any competition that even considered hosting Trump or publishing the Hunter Biden stories. It goes far beyond using legalese to justify terms of service.

No Standing!

something, something.

Never really heard of this “no standing” BS excuse to block serious cases before the Roberts Court jumped in bed with ProgLeft Wokeness.

MONEY raising text messages is his best going business.

Big techs' actions slandered president Trump, among others. Simple case.

I said Wednesday's understanding of the law was incorrect. Trump's suit appears to be piggy-backing the email creators tactic of trying to link this to government action by claiming the sites are sensoring at the behest of government (based on the snippet of the suit posted by Decatur).

I would hope that running out of sympathetic judges isn't how a very plain language, clearly understandable law gets interpreted. If you don't like social media (any social media) then lobby your congressmen to repeal 230.

You don't know what snark means...or, more likely, your feelings are hurt by facts.

The law is the law...the real problem is that you have a bias and you've lost the ability to separate it from any facts.

That is a fundamentally different argument than the Section 230 nonsense...I think you have more of a chance of making something like this stick with regard to the hosting companies rather than the social media sites.

Thats not even close to how shite works in this case. Not a single authoritative legal or law enforcement body has charged Trump with insurrection, nor could democrats retroactively convict him of it in the senate. Twitter, to this day, hosts The Ayatollah who frequently provokes and celebrates Jihad, particularly against Israel. Furthermore, Twitter claims the exact opposite. They argue that they DO NOT censor political speech, only enforce terms of service - a list of rules that bend and change at their will and only seem to affect political voices they disagree with.

For example, they actively censored the Hunter Biden story, even when it wasnt denied by the Bidens themselves, confirmed by witnesses, and the FBI acknowledged the hard drives. They deleted any and all mentions of the COVID lab leak theory in spite of a State Department inquiry into this possibility, and growing international scientific concerns over its origins. Conversely, debunked stories like Russian bounties, Russiagate, the Lafayette Square story, the French Cemetery story, (I could go on forever) were spread before and even after they were proven false.

In fact, Twitter spreads substantially more fake news than actual news according to an MIT study.

DeSantis tried something similar.

It will likely get thrown out as a violation of the first amendment. Private companies cannot be forced to post content that they determine to be a violation of their terms of service.

Trump has the option of posting on other social media sites that do not find his social media output objectionable.

Looks like a money grab.
