I'm sure he can come in and have a D.J. Welter type of dominance.
F U A-Hole!

Most of us are sure he'll come in and be the next Casanova-Rehage-Steltz-Hunt.

All three of those guys need to see the field ASAP as often as possible.

Langlois looks like a monster and ranked significantly lower than the other two.

Get em all on the field. They could be special. With our CBs and DLine, if LBs can be serviceable, it’s a young defense but has talent to be special.

I am pretty confident in Ward making the move to safety and performing well. The other safety is the wild card for this defense. LSU needs at least one of these listed to step up and be outstanding. Harris, who I believe was injured last year, performed well below his previous year, and LSU can't take another season of that below par safety play again. Our safety play was as bad as any I have witnessed in over 65 years of watching LSU football. Love our CB's and depth and if our safetys can play really well, this defense could be special. The safetys are going to be tested a lot this year as teams avoid our corners.

It will be very interesting to see how the safety competition shakes out. There's a lot of talent there. With Sting and Ricks on the outside, if our DL can generate any pressure (which they should with their talent and depth) the backfield is going to be extremely difficult to exploit.

If Daronte and the rest of the D staff can put together a quality scheme I wouldn't be surprised if the D is one of the tops in the nation in turnovers forced.

I have a feeling that Major Burns will be in the mix for a started role or significant planing time.
