Trump endorsement of Cruz may have brought out the rural conservative voters and enough hard R's to save Cruz but it also energized a lot of democrats and left leaning suburb voters and gave us the Beto wave in Texas that wiped out a lot of GOP officials.

Trump's endorsement of Cruz may have been necessary but damn there was a lot of puckered buttholes on election night.

Greg Abbott was the only republican that was completely safe that year and 100% favored to win.

No, STRAIGHT TICKET VOTING did that. That's why it was removed for 2020 and beyond.

Indeed it contributed bigly and its an abomination just as bad as ranked choice voting, but I still stand my point about Trump endorsement being a double edged sword no matter how necessary it was and still is; democrats are getting their people to the polls, you have to get yours to the polls as well.

Biggest factor as to why Texas stayed red in addition to RGV going red as well.

Looking forward to more clean up in the special session on July 8.

I don't understand people like Sentrius. Obviously an intelligent person. But that same person insists that the same old same old is absolutely the correct play and the solution to all our ails. The dissonance mystifies me.
