One thing that TFP / SLAM / etc doesn't really talk about and I learned the hard way... I have to add algaecide biweekly. No matter how perfect I have levels, algaecide is the secret ingredient. Its not used to get rid of algae but to prevent.

Shouldn’t be needed if your chlorine is good and stable.
