Cashier: "You good."
Me: I'm good?
Cashier: "You good."
I was told this twice in the last two weeks.
Once at RaceTrac while about to buy a large soda fountain drink. I paid anyway.
And tonight at Burger King after ordering a Cookies and Cream Shake. Dude handed it to me, told me I was good and walked away. So I drove off. I guess I should have drove around and ordered more stuff.

I think you need less "stuff".

This didn't happen in shithole.
This happened in future shithole. Baton Rouge.

Everywhere in SELA is just different side of the same shithole. Some just haven't realized it yet.

Same thing happened to me at RaceTrac in the Houston area. He said “you’re good, boss” and I thought he was asking how I was doing so I tried to pay then he said it again. I got the hint and thanked him.

I mean, in context it seems that whatever you got wasn’t enough for him to worry about. Pretty straightforward. I get it all the time from clerks when I just get a cup of ice and water, or maybe a coffee.
Just take the W and move on

We spend probably 250 bucks a week on energy drinks for the office.
Those ladies don't charge me for anything without a barcode. The Indian owner gives me the occasional free road beer.

Racetrac does this all the time. If you just have a fountain drink, they won’t charge you about 50% of the time. I asked once why they did this, they said they use to have free fountain/coffee drinks twice a year for a week at a time. They ended that and told employees to just give some away.
What’s funny, I’ve walked up to the counter with just a fountain drink, they say “you good”, but I tell them I need a can of dip. They ring up the dip and fountain drink.
