Rudy did not contest the false statements. His only defense was that he thought the statements were true when he made them, although he now admits they were false. Then he failed to produce any evidence showing where he got the false information, or why he thought it was true.
Plus, he made inconsistent and contradictory statements in different court hearings.

For someone whose candidate now occupies the WH and whose party now runs the US legislature, you’re pretty insecure about your candidate and party’s victory’s legitimacy to be commenting on message boards like this. You just can’t stand that Rudy’s an American hero and deserves the Presidential Medal of Freedom instead of this railroading he’s receiving from the Biden govt and NY Bar. I hope he sues the NY Bar and Biden govt to oblivion and they go all the way to SCOTUS.

According to this standard you’re articulating, basically every lawyer who publicly supported the Russian Hoax, all lawyers who lie on behalf of their clients on tv, all lawyers who lied about Kavanaugh, etc should be suspended by their respective bar associations, Ben Crump should probably be disbarred since he’s lied about his clients publicly more than maybe anyone in history, you set this standard not I.

Well, no, you should read more carefully.
My comment about Rudy forgetting how to practice law was not directly related to his current suspension. He made a fool of himself in Court hearings and in presentations to legislators. He told one Court that his client was alleging fraud, even though the pleadings specifically said no fraud was alleged. He has become a joke of an attorney.
But you should also understand Rudy is being sanctioned for knowingly lying in court. That is a serious ethical violation. His lies in front of legislators and to the general public just exacerbate the situation.
If any of the Kavanaugh, Russian collusion, etc. Lawyers knowingly made false statements in Court, then they should also be sanctioned.
