The place I linked is Friday to Friday. There's 3 dosing days and 3 group integration days.
I'm sure it helps some people for certain conditions. But to have this solution as your main method to stop depression is ridiculous. Come on.
I know what you are talking about. I read up on after seeing a youtuber a while back.

Exercise bro. Disconnect from media, internet, and negative people. Eat healthy and drink plenty of water. Take vitamins. You dont give yourself much credit. Your mind is powerful....use it!!!
This. Your mind is more capable and amazing than you think. Visualize great things. Get good rest, wake up early and allow your brain to convince the rest of your body that your life is about to dramatically change for the best. Put yourself through your very own structured basic training. Wake up at 4am, exercise, eat a good breakfast, have a balanced, constructive long day, then lights out at 9pm. STICK WITH IT!! Come back here if need be for accountability. You’ll be in a great routine before you know it!!

didn’t realize how profound your depression is and I feel like an arse for basically saying “get a dog”. I think with your chronic pain, you may need specialists that treat depression that can result from that. I’m praying for you.
This means more than you know

If you think you're depressed now, it can be worse. Usually I do something I know will keep me busy. If my mind and body are working, the depression and anxiety back off. Talking to people who understand helps a lot too.

I really appreciate all the replies but some of you don’t know what it’s like to have serious depression. There’s many, significant differences between depression and being sad. Believe me if I could make a couple decisions, get a dog, pray etc to feel better, I would be better already.

I’m so very sorry about all you’re going through! In addition to serious depression, you also have chronic pain, which alone is horrific. I’ve dealt with severe depression recently due to the unexpected death of someone close about a year ago. Here’s what’s helped me, although I still struggle: 1) Leaning on my immediate family for support (You’d have to allow yourself to lean. Your family/close ones will be there for you. Trust me on this.). 2) Talk therapy with a professional therapist, regularly. Mine is a PhD psychologist. He’s still doing telehealth following COVID, so it’s nice and easy not having to get out if you’re not up for that. Ask. 3) Walks around my neighborhood which indirectly helped me reconnect just a bit with my sweet neighbors. No matter how short the walk. Your neighbors are likely interested in you and looking to make connections too. This has lifted my spirits unexpectedly, even if the connections are brief. 4) When you feel ready, make a list of friends/relatives you’d love to be in touch with/possibly see more, and slowly, one by one, initiate contact, even if only by text. You will realize people care about you more than you would think and they will respond positively. It helps.
You’re sincerely in my prayers and I really hope you can find solutions that help you.

Hot yoga will fix you by balancing the autonomic nervous system. I’m fearless these days. And yes, I have experienced MAJOR clinical depression.

I would also strongly recommend that you research CBD. It can be added to your antidepressant therapy.

Make some changes for you.
First blood work. Testosterone, thyroid, estradiol, and vitamin D. You need about a 20:1 ratio of testosterone to estradiol. Too much E2 is bad. Stay around 20-30. May need meds. E2 blocker can be compounded by a pharmacy to a liquid to help you titrate it better.
Get rid of all electronic devices in bedroom. Install window unit set to ice cold. Get a heating blanket. Sleep cozy. Good sleep is more critical than most realize. Brain needs deep sleep. Buddy of mine is an operator. I watched him fix his sleep and drop 30 lbs and got his life back.
Lose weight. Will help with the estradiol over conversion if that's a problem. If you have belly fat and moobs you are probably aromatasing.
Get outside. Buy a dual sport motorcycle. They make cheap Chinese ones (Honda clones) for $1500. They are a blast. Spend $5 in gas and ride all day. Find some trails and take off. Clears your head and gets you outside. Check out the YouTube channel Motocheeze. He has great reviews on all of them.
Remember your not the only one going through this. There are a ton of people who are making/have made it.

Decided to do things in my life that made me happy. Decided to lose weight and eat right. Decided not to take meds for it. Decided to own my life and cut out bad stuff and bad people and man up. It sucked at times but it was all my decision. Made decisions that made me happy and did stuff for me. Maybe it was selfish but I never took away from my family so im ok with that. I took care of me.
Good for you and all but for many people who are depressed, making these kinds of decisions is literally impossible. If it was only that easy then every person would just snap themselves out of it. I find this kind of thinking to be incredibly narcissistic and out of touch.

I think you are framing it incorrectly. Psilocybin has the capacity to crack someone open and actually get to the nub of the depression. SSRIs and other medicines treat symptoms, not causes.
Even years of weekly conventional therapy sessions might not get one to the source.
So when you say "main method to stop depression", I don't exactly agree with that construct. I am saying this modality is an extremely powerful tool to root out the source. That alone can be transformative. But one must still do the hard work in the real world of continuing to work on themselves.
But I am not changing my main claim: if someone is at the end of their rope with treatment-resistant-depression, this modality could be an absolute lifesaver.
I have seen it with my own eyes more than once - particularly if there is underlying and/or buried trauma lurking in there.

LSD works. I didn’t try it until I retired. You will confront your demons face to face. I hear I doesn’t work for everyone but a lot of people are walking around today that wouldn’t be here had they not taken it once.

The former Navy Seals and professional football players have a pipeline that pays for them to go to Mexico to be treated with psychedelics if they are having Seal Syndrome. It’s not PTSD it has to do with multiple pre-conclusive injuries. Sports and multiple explosions cause brain injury similar to PTSD but not PTSD.
