Want to BBQ Gator for Florida game

I want to cook a gator for the Florida game this year. I would imagine this is something I need to pre-order well in advance. Something that would fit into a barrel smoker.
I've never done this. I see tailgaters all the time cooking them up. Where do I get one in the Lafayette area?
Sorry if this is Food/Drink Board material. I posted here first b/c I know someone is going to have an answer...while food board may only have suggestions.

I could be crazy, but I don't think any gator is fitting into a barrel smoker.

The Carter's in Walker had them a few years ago the week of the Florida game. They were probably 3 feet or so in length

Louisiana has a wild alligator population of 800,000. Break out your fanboat, .243, and go get sum baw. I guarantee 95% of the gators you’re seeing at tailgates in Lafayette aren’t store bought
