"the two people killed in the shooting were identified by the police as Kyren Walton, 25, and Ladarius Alexander, 20. Four other people were shot and wounded," police said.

What is going on in baton rouge? Sounds like a warzone.

It's all ridiculous but entirely predictable. How much did you say I can get like 50 acres in WV for?

Depending on how remote you want to be, you can get around 250 acres for 100k. Granted if you want riverfront or other steady water sources like creeks/springs, the price goes up a bit.

I just priced a 100 acre tract, that butts up against NFS land, with a nice trout creek...AND mineral rights (which is unheard of) for 200k.

ETA: You can also get stupid cheap land in places like northern Wisconsin/Minnesota/Upper Peninsula of Michigan. But you have to be able to deal with the winter and the retarded blue policies of those states.

I mean…the whole thing as a “national holiday” is just cringe because it makes very little sense.

It’s just a snowball of stereotypes. Ebonics, violence, ignorance.

It would be like a national holiday called Hurka Durka Day that celebrated that one time some Muslims in Dearborn got the date of Ramadan wrong.

And then blew up a school bus.

Especially since slavery was perfectly legal and still being carried out in Kentucky and Delaware after "juneteenth."

We may be distant neighbors one day. I'm ready to go off the grid.

Any property I buy will have south facing slope and year-round flowing water. Between solar and hydro, I'll never pay for a power bill ever again.

The only bill I plan on having is StarLink and cell service. Even groceries will be minimal between hunting, fishing, gardening year-round (greenhouse and aquaponics), and raising chickens and small-breed pigs and possibly goats.

I've lost all faith in this country to maintain the status quo. The Covid response and 2020 election just cemented that opinion.

Don't shake a pill bottle in WV unless you got about 10k acres. You'll have some trashy woman on your doorsteps. They can hear a pill bottle rattle for miles.
