I saw that California is re-opening tomorrow June 15. Does anyone have any info as to if UCLA will be releasing more tickets for the opening game tomorrow?

I wanted to do so, but I don't have the time right now...just wanted to drive across west Texas at night without light pollution.
With the 80mph speed limit once you get past Ft Worth you can pretty much hammer to Tuscon or head north to pick up I-40 at Amarillo and pretty much hammer down until you get to California.

I'm driving in from Phoenix that Friday after work. Got a hotel for Friday and Saturday night.

That’s an awesome drive if you have the time. I drove it a couple of years ago from Houston on the I-10 route. First day was Houston to El Paso. 2nd day was El Paso to Vegas. Then Vegas to LA. Beautiful scenery along the way except for New Mexico that is the pits for the most part.

I’m flying. I will be there for 9 days

That drive is absolutely terrible. I’ve made it once when I moved for work, and I will never do it again.
You can likely get a direct flight to LAX from MSY. Even if you have to make 2 or 3 connections, flying is a no brainer.

We drove from Louisiana to California in 1990. That was the worst drive of my entire life.

I drove with Shelby Holmes from BR to Tucson.
What's 6 more hours?

I drove it round trip in 2014.
It’s a once in a lifetime trip. Probably not more than that.

WE are taking 4 weeks and driving to Pasadena (stay 6 days) and then back through Lake Tahoe, Moab, UT, Telluride, CO, and Frisco, CO. Retirement is nice and we love driving out West.

I did it on a business (contractor) trip. 3 days to LA, 5 weeks in LA, 3 days back.
North through Amarillo and Flagstaff going. South through Phoenix and El Paso coming back.
