She hasn't apologized for the stupid shite she said 50 years ago when she sat on a North Vietnamese anti aircraft gun and said she wished she could shoot down US aircraft.. Why would she apologize for this?

I'm surprised she never got the ultimate comeuppance for that by any one of the many, many vets who came back with a less than level head. Which if I were on that jury I'd have gleefully voted not guilty, would've completely tuned out the prosecution's case from the first word on.

She gave an apology on a book tour years ago. Oliver North said it was equivalent to saying she was sorry she got caught.
From memory that wasn’t the only time, but vets never treated her apologies as sincere, and an apology doesn’t get anybody off the hook for treason.
