Not only do they have now hiring signs like everybody else but they also signs that say get paid daily. Oh and the Minute Maid slush machine is broke.

“Paid daily” is the new thing with these jobs.
I would love to know how many of these low rent folks don’t show up for work today because they got $40 yesterday.

And I bet they have employees who don’t have bank accounts and have to get paper checks instead of direct deposit. Gotta be a nightmare when you have employees that don’t go cash their $45 daily checks right away
paid daily

They called Italians Dagos for a reason. Incredibly unreliable workers when they immigrated here. They got paid as the day goes.

I’ve been ensured by the OT Lefties that the $300 extra unemployment has nothing to do with the amount of “Now Hiring” signs everywhere.

Dude it’s not 1991. There’s likely a time lock linked to a computer. Auto generate a shift total and prints the check accordingly.

I think paid daily places require that you use a company prepaid debit card or whatever they're called, which probably makes it alot easier than you'd otherwise expect.

My son worked there for almost a year when he was a junior in high school starting in 2018, and same day pay was available at least that long ago. We had already set him up a bank account so he did direct deposit weekly or biweekly, whatever it was. The paid daily thing is a reloadable debit card they’ll give employees if they choose that, but if I remember correctly they withhold a small fee if for it.

You know I might go up there and get a job for a couple days a week. You know. Show ‘em a thing or two.

Have you? Or have to been pointed to other factors that are impacting labor as well such as pent up demand, logistics problems, and bottlenecked supply?

It’s much simpler than you think. Loads to a prepaid card or account and then automatically deducted from their paycheck on payday.

I posted an ad for a receptionist at $20 an hour and had 3 people apply for it in a week, two years ago I’d have a hundred
