A full slate of games today, I won't be able to update during our game for obvious reasons. But here's today's schedule:

Virginia 5, Dallas Baptist 6 Final (Game 1)

Vanderbilt 4, East Carolina 1 Final (Game 2, Vandy to Omaha)

Notre Dame 8, Mississippi State 9 Final (Game 1)

Arkansas 5, NC State 6 Final (Game 2, series tied)

Texas Tech 0, Stanford 9 Final (Game 2, Stanford to Omaha)

LSU 2, Tennessee 4 Final (Game 1)

South Florida 3, Texas 4 Final (Game 1)

Arizona 3, Ole Miss 12 Final (Game 2, series tied)

Geaux Bulls, Patriots and

I’ll say the same thing I said in the super regional thread from yesterday in reference to the March Madness comparison. LSU is on the right side of the bracket to make a run.

On the other side all 8 teams in the Sweet 16 are like 1 thru 5 seeds if this were NCAAB bracket type seeding. On our side of the bracket, of the 8 teams remaining half of them are like double digit seeds. So we aren’t as huge an underdog to make a run to the NC series as we would be if we were paired on the other side of the bracket with Vandy and Arkansas.

quote:

NCAAB bracket right now would look like this:

1 Arkansas
5 NCSU
2 Texas Tech
3 Stanford
-
1 Vanderbilt
4 ECU
2 Arizona
3 Ole Miss

1 Texas
13 USF
2 Miss St.
3 ND
-
1 Tennessee
12 LSU
10 Virginia
11 DBU

It’s so fricking dumb that this DBU Virginia game is at South Carolina

Yeah, that's because of COVID rules. In a normal year, they would have both bid for the Super. At this point, it's dumb to still have that rule in place, I agree.

Yeah there’s no good reason for it

DBU hits a 2-run bomb in the 1st, some early crookedness.

Could have switched it last minute. Tuesday morning they could have made that move.

Notre Dame vs. Mississippi State

Should be interesting. ND scored 50+ runs in their Regional.

Hoping for a great Super! All smack talk aside, good luck to the Tigers and maybe us Vols will be able to reach national prominence of some sorts like the LSU program has been at for many years. Will be a great atmosphere.

(Would be better if our stadium was a little bigger....)

I want UT to get there in time, you're well on your way. I just hope it's not this year

Vandy gets a VERY generous K, that was in the other batter's box.

I like the DBU vs Virginia series. It’s such a contrast in player development styles. DBU is trying make good pro prospects, Virginia doesn’t give a shite about what any of their players do once they’re no longer in the program.

Squat pitching hurts your arm? frick you do it anyway. Don’t like hitting ball on the ground intentionally? frick you do it anyway.

Meanwhile DBU is all gas on the mound and power swings at the plate.

I couldn’t watch yesterday, but I read on here this same comment when Kumar was pitching as well.

Does Vandy get to bring their extra wide plate on the road with them?

ECU hit one hard, I thought it might be gone. But nope, caught in left.

Cheer, I was traveling through Tennessee recently and saw your drink in a store. Had to buy one to see what it's all about.

It's in the fridge now.

It's a regional drink mostly sold in and around the Carolinas, you probably won't see it in Louisiana. But I love it

That probably was a ball for ECU, but it would've been called a strike for Vandy.
