Skip Bertman designed the new Alex Box. It needs upgrading

At the time the fans did not want a new stadium. Everyone loved the box but Skip knew it’s was way past time for the better of the program. So when he designed the new box he tried to make it feel and look exactly like the old box to appease the fans. It is definitely time for an upgrade because I agree with these other stadiums are nicer now.

Yeah, Ok, that’s not true. Maybe some of the cast of characters who based their lives off of LSU Baseball, the K lady types, didn’t, but the rest of us wanted either a new stadium or a complete reconstruction of the old Box. We expected a palace that would fit the program. Instead of that, we got a completely different ball park, with the intimidator and aluminum bleachers being the thing that tied the New to the Old. LSU Baseball got its new revenue sources that weren’t possible with the old Box, and kept the new Box folksy and cheap.

I was hyped about the renderings that Trahan Architects produced when the reality of a new stadium was coming together, but we didn’t get that either.

It was also designed to squeeze every dollar out of it as possible. Things that help liven up the place were left out because skip couldn’t monetize those things
