Would the majority of democrats be happy if we turned into a communist state like China?

Probably about 80-90% of democrats either elected or just regular voters, would happily accept a communist controlled central state ran by a CCP type government. They would also be happy with the people they disagree with being sent to camps, I don't think most democrats would even flinch at this idea.
Arguing with them about communism seems stupid. I am pretty sure that is what most of them want.

This is actually the correct answer. Communists are never happy. Look back at Stalin. He killed or sent to prison all opposition. Then he killed or sent to prison everyone who, even slightly, disagreed with him killing the opposition. Then he almost wiped out entire populations of people for perceived historical wrongs to him. Then he killed thousands of his unloyal followers. He had purge after purge and killed millions. It would be the same with the Democrats if they obtained absolute rule.

I really don’t think so, as that is an absolute horror.
It’s really just about sticking it to conservatives, regardless how bad it gets. They want to punish themselves and us, for our thought crimes. Then they get to say,
“See? See how bad you made things get for all of us?”
There is perceived emotional currency to be cashed in for suffering. That’s where their mindset comes from.

The suburban white housewives who voted for Biden because "Trump was a meanie" would be some of the first folks in the camps. Their screams would probably be the only thing in that dystopian world that could bring a smile to my face.

Of course. But when they find out that they’re not part of the elite multimillion dollar ruling class, and they are the peons and drones who do the slave labor for the ruling class, they would want to go back. Of course, by that point, it would be too late.

I don't know that any of that is specific to the left.
The Trump Tribe won't like this, but that behavior actually sounds just as much like Trump as anyone else.

Simple. They want a Godless state. Void of anything approaching Judeo-Christian and traditional values. Lord only knows what this country will look like if they're successful. Don’t think this is true at all. The communist/socialist pushers are 20% or less, and most of them have mental issues
