Not going to post overly specific info since it's pay wall blocked but a couple good updates:

1. Name to Watch is Arkansas OL coach Brad Davis

2. All current OL commits and prospects visiting this weekend took the news well and this isn't as bad on that front as we would assume

Id take brad davis or alex atkins.

Think I'd take davis first.
Has more experience in the sec and is a great recruiter.

Alex atkins isn't a bad fall back option though.

Considering Clegg was a trash recruiter that’s hardly a surprise.

How would they know how the recruits took it? Even if they hated it not like they would admit it.

No ones melting over Cregg getting axed. What anyone with a brain is worried about is any sort of negative recruiting that happens from it, and even more penalties coming down the pipe from him

I wonder how hard it would be to pull Davis from Arkansas? His boss is a longtime offensive line coach, which may appeal to him. I'm also not sure if he has a strong loyalty to Pittman or not. He may feel he has more stability there, strange as that seems at first glance.

I don’t think that’s something to worry about, especially considering the recruit in question didn’t even sign with us.

Did they credit me as the source?

I see where Davis is from Baton Rouge, but he played for Pittman at Oklahoma. Pittman also gave him his start in coaching. May be tough to get him to leave Arkansas after one year there.

If I was betting, I would put my money on Orgeron at LSU over Pittman and Arkansas.
O has been on a consistent trajectory upward until Fauchi/Covid hit. And we still beat Ar Kansas.

Brad makes about what.. 500,000 at Arky? To move back home and a raise to about 650,000 or 700,000 which is about what Cregg was paid , I think he’ll bite. Also a chance to build his resume with some high profile recruits.

They would say something.

Maybe not "I am so, so upset that he is gone. I hate LSU now" but they would 100% let them know.

I'm not upset that we're getting rid of Cregg, I'm upset at the timing (O line camp is this weekend + visitors) and any potential violations he committed coming back to frick us.

ETA: I'm not mad at O for the timing, I'm just annoyed that this happened to be when the firing occurred. Out of our control really.

Pittman is like family, but BR is family.

If LSU guarantees a 3 year deal, he’ll be a Tiger.

Why don't you just say it for those of us that don't feel like sifting through a bunch of pages?

As an LSU fan, I see things as an LSU fan does, which is generally positive. But Arkansas loves Pittman, and they will be okay with a slow build, considering their recent history. If LSU somehow bombs this year, who knows what will happen? I don't think it will happen, but...

Frankly, I am surprised he was still here anyway. Back in Feb or early March I went to take a look at a house that had just gone on the market for sale the day before. As I was walking though I noticed the owner appeared to be a big football fan...not just LSU stuff (but plenty of that. Especially recent CFP stuff). I went in the garage and saw a refrigerator decorated with USC, Chargers, Raiders and Broncos helmet stickers. I then looked up on a shelf and saw a suitcase with a CFP bag tag with the name "Cregg" written on it. It then dawned on me that it was Cregg's house that was for sale. I figured that was because LSU was moving on from him. Why move from a nice house if you plan to be in a place for a while?

Maybe he knew the writing was on the wall soon. This just expedited the process
