The US Chamber of Commerce has a solution to the labor shortage

breitbart
The United States Chamber of Commerce has launched a lobbying campaign to massively increase legal immigration to the U.S., specifically the flow of foreign visa workers into American jobs.
Dubbed the “America Works Agenda,” the Chamber is lobbying state and federal lawmakers to hugely expand the rate of legal immigration whereby, already, about 1.2 million legal immigrants are awarded green cards annually and roughly 1.4 million foreign nationals are given visas to take jobs in the U.S.
Chamber President and CEO Suzanne Clark is billing the campaign as an effort to address the so-called “worker shortage” facing the business community, though 16.4 million Americans remain jobless and 5.2 million are underemployed but all of them want full-time work.
Such measures are a boon for big business as inflating the U.S. labor market allows employers to cut Americans’ wages, reducing the cost of labor, to increase profit margins.
Go ahead and collect unemployment benefits and refuse to go back to work. I'm sure when you're ready to rejoin the workforce there will be plenty of high paying jobs to choose from.
I've never seen an administration be so utterly anti-American worker as this one.

That's been their answer for 50 to 60 years. (Except, they're not picky about the "legal" part, but they put that in their so as not to scare the old white people.)

Should read: US camber of Commerce is too damned stupid to realize what’s causing the current labor shortage.

Considering a publicly-traded company’s mandate to maximize value for their shareholders, how can they justify paying higher wages and increased labor costs to Americans?
Are they not quasi-mandated to pursue these types of policies to return and maximize value to shareholders?
Where in their charter are they mandated to look after the greater domestic societal good of native employment-especially it affects the bottom line via increased labor costs?
Isn’t this just late-stage capitalism coming home to roost?

If you think this isn't intentional, you may want to start over and try again.

The US Chamber of Commerce has been a huge hand behind illegal immigrants flooding over the border.

I'm all about capitalism, and of course companies are supposed to worry about their bottom line. My beef is with the Chamber and with our government who uses our tax dollars to take care of everyone except us.

I don’t know.
This is has been the Washington consensus since the late 80s.

The Chamber of Commerce is a trade group made up of those publicly-traded Fortune 500 companies. All they can do is lobby Congress, not make actual policy.

Are you this stupid?
This is actually what people have been saying against the 15.00 minimum wage and now you want to import labor for?? - CHEAP LABOR COSTS
Seriuously you are retarded right?

It should be dubbed America Refuses to Work Agenda.

We need restaurant workers, fast food workers etc. Visa workers aren’t coming to the US to work those jobs. This does nothing to fix the problem we currently face. In fact it will make it much much worse.

I’m not sure if the US Chamber of Commerce, the vast majority of government workers and bureaucrats are just outright stupid or part of a sinister plot to destroy America.
