With gpu prices crashing, crypto prices crashing, and fuel adjustments on energy going through the roof, I imagine just selling the cards now would likely net you more than trying to mine through the end of this gen.

But for anyone looking at a gaming upgrade, I don't know if I would buy in at the high end right now, but if I've got an old card that's limping along, jumping on something like a 3060ti for $480 would be hard to pass up:

im gonna wait a quite few more months to a year or so and then jump on (hopefully) even cheaper cards especially after the next gen is out for a bit.

gonna try to get 6 cards or so of the same and build a rig of all the same card. I have a mixed rig rn. hopefully ill time it right to expand for the next bull run.

Bump for advice/discussion.

I currently have a 3060ti. I won't discuss what I paid for it. lol

With GPU prices coming back to around suggested MSRP, and reports that there are plenty of 30 series cards in stock now, does anyone think prices are going to come down a bit more?

I assume that when the 40 series (or whatever next gen) comes out, it will sell out. Would it be worth pulling the trigger on a 3080 or better?

I read that they are thinking of delaying the next gen to try to sell of the stock of the 30 series. Does anyone think this is the case?

BB has had FE of your choice staying in stock for a while. It would be pretty hard to pass up a 3080FE or a 6800XT reference card at MSRP if you’re looking to upgrade.

3070
3070ti
3080ti

All showing in stock at BB right now

im gonna wait a bit as im assuming prices come down even further with the crypto market pain and 4000 series release.

probably gonna load up on some cheaper 3060s (since theyre all unlocked now) or similar to have a nice efficient rig for when the bull market returns.

Unless I was extremely price sensitive, if I were sitting around with a five+ year old card limping along, I would jump on one of these mid-range deals. I know next gen is just around the corner, but we have no idea if it's going to be any better than it was two years ago.

I hope these deals last another month or so. I will pull the trigger to upgrade my 3060ti. I just need to decide how much of an upgrade that I want. I am not relying on the 40 series to be available at launch. If they are, even better.

ETA: To be readily available. I think it will be a shite show like everything else.

I don't know if I'm down for that either. But I guess its better than a free for all and I don't have a better alternative.

Im curious to see if BB has any exclusives next gen. I still think the FE being BB exclusives was the weirdest fricking thing
