Ray Smith started the Hawks Nest on Lobdell and Goodwood. Same strip center that DR. Billy Canon had his practice. Then he moved it off Sherwood mid 80's or so.

I thought so. Dr Cannon's Sil is my neighbor actually. Super sweet lady. She has to be in her 90s now.

And the corner spot was a Phil-A-Sak.

I have a gallon of Ouncie’s gumbo, who owned Fairway View Club, in my freezer.

Yes Big Head Ray. A really good man. He tried to sell me his restaurant 3 times. Then he died like a month later. Miss him very much.
