I haven't been in a CB in maybe five years, but they used to have a deal where you'd get some ham, meatloaf and chicken & dumplings plus sides and some bread for $10

Or sometimes I could walk to those places from my hotel and pound beers on the company credit card and not have to drive

This is pretty much the only time I go to any of these. Every now and then I get lucky and can walk to a local place to go drink whiskey until I black out and see if my homing pigeon skills to somehow get back to my hotel room.

Been there!
CSB from August 1999. Fresh outta college living In Dallas.
I worked on Tax and Appraisal Software all over Texas. One of my more embarrassing incidents was a night in Del Rio. We had eaten dinner and drank a few across the border in Acuna at the famous place where Desperado was filmed(Where Cheech get's his head blown off). I think it was the Corona Club. Good food and stuff.

But we came back across to Del Rio and found a honky tonk down the road from our hotel.
My coworker and I had separate rooms and I remember leaving the bar, he was driving. But nothing else.
Somehow or another I woke up at 3 am outside my hotel room in nothing but my boxers. This was one of them older hotels with doors facing outdoors so I'm for real OUTSIDE facing the highway.
Had to walk down to lobby and ask for a new key. The gal working the desk laughed so hard at me she didn't question me at all. Just made a key and let me go my way.

My best guess is I got up to go pee and walked out the room. But I coulda been trying to molest my coworker being it's me and he was an Aggie and all.

I think you can find them around Texas not just north Texas. I could be wrong.

You must be trolling. There is no way someone could honestly think any of these are in the top 5 chains.

That is a terrible list. Chili's? Buffalo? No Carrabbas, Macaroni grill, Bonefish or Ruth's Chris? Not that I'd eat at any of them besides Ruth's and Macaroni grill, though they are major quality differences.

We order takeout from here maybe once per month but you think it's better than Pluckers? It's just a lot closer to our house

NO fricking way no how is Wing Stop better than Pluckers. More expensive and smaller wings. Pluckers has some really good appetizers too.

I don't think so either but he's a Texas guy so I figured he'd have a Pluckers somewhere nearby. Wingstop isn't that good but it's less than a mile from our neighborhood. I think Hooters has better wings than Wingstop too.

Didn't realize this. Ate there once, so for sure not going back.

Besides, seafood chains can't compete in south La against the locals.
