Brother will be going to trade school this fall. What trade would you recommend to him?

Went to LSU his freshman year and decided he wants to work right away. Says he thinking about welding or electrical. Open to more.

My question is this: Is there a trade right now you would recommend to a younger person or you would’ve loved to do when you were younger?

I don't think I would do welding. My dad knew a lot of welders and it seems like they are all battling or dying of cancer.

Welding/instrument process tech/electrician/plumbing

Welding is HARD work however.

those will be solid careers for the next 50 years.

Less harsh working environment than welding, electrician or HVAC.

Electrician. Usually steady work and good pay.

It's not going out of style soon.

I'd say electrician with HVAC as a close second. Plumbing is dirty work...
