Woodard should stay the course with hiring BIG NAMES. Kim Mulkey with huge for Several reasons. Lets look at LSU swimming. WE NEVER hear anything about it. Arguments of it being a waste of money to have the sport is ABSURD!
Ask 100 sportsfans What the TOP 3 Olympic sports that come to your head? Did you just say Swimming? Yes, we all heard it. In 2 months from now 100's of millions of people across the globe will be watching swimming. First thought that comes to mind is the Most Decorated Olympic Athlete of all Time. MICHAEL PHELPS. If LSU wants to move the bar go hire a big name like Michael Phelps or someone in that category. LSU cant afford that? The facilities are junk? wasted money? bullshite on ALL of that. Yes, LSU can go for a big hire. Yes, Woodard knows how to make a 75 plus million dollar facility make money. Go see what he did at Texas AM. build a facility that has EVERYTHING where the students and the Public can go work out or enjoy whatever sport that they want. The foot traffic and membership would generate the money. Easy!
Dont sit and complain on how past decisions where made by the administration. Yes, it should have been done 5-6 years ago when the last complex was built. LSU is constantly growing and must stay ahead of times.
I mentioned 2 months from now right? You will not find ONE Swimmer representing the state of Louisiana in the Olympics. That needs to change. This is a great opportunity for several other reasons to bring in a BIG named coach and get behind a program. LSU had a Lame Duck coach for 16 years (plus). Mr. Woodard needs to go BIG not remain lame. Also, a good image change for LSU needs to continue and that is something that cant be argued by anyone. GO BIG!

Do we know for sure if Michael Phelps has ever taught anyone to swim?

Luckily, there is someone EVEN MORE famous that we 100% know for sure taught someone to swim.

Make it happen, Woodward!

Johnny Weissmuller would be a preferable option. Able to swim with snakes and crocodiles.
