You would have said that about Joe Burrow before 2019

I agree. Maybe he develops over the next couple of years but I have a hard time seeing him progressing into 1st round consideration. That I just have a hard time seeing.

We ran it for 32 yards on like 26 carries. Asked each true fr qb to throw it 24 times in each half. He actually looked good prior to the turnovers, trying to do too much. Atm game was same thing, another whopping 30 yards rushing, leaning on true fr qbs to toss it around 45 times.

Those games were much more about our team, oline, run game then qb play.

His biggest issue is accuracy

Same as Brandon Harris.

He's got a cannon though and can win games for them. He wasn't our best option & that's ok.

Look at Auburn’s QB depth chart. A QB from bowling green was going to be their backup heading into the season. No matter what your opinions are of TJ, he has 5 SEC starts under his belt. That’s why Saban wanted him and Auburn took him.

TJ Finley in 3 years has legit 1st rounder potential if he’s coached correctly. All the tools are there
why? Because he has a strong arm?

Is that all it takes to be an NFL first rounder?

Man, some people on this board are just flat-out nuts.

Different coaching staff. They want to know what we’re up to. Gus had a pretty good idea what we try to execute. The data is all out there bit not for this LSU staff or Auburn’s for that matter. Finley has talent as well there is no doubt.

You negative shits crapped all over Burrow prior to 2019, while the rest of us knew his potential.

TJ is going to learn behind Cox at QB, he would be better off at LSU.

That was before we saw Burrow play. Did you miss Finley’s 5 starts in 2020 , playing time, and the spring game 2021????

I hate to belittle a fellow Tiger fan , but damn you people make it hard.

Stop acting like anyone outside of Buckeye Jeaux thought he was going to do what he did in 2019. Very few people thought Burrow would be a first round guy prior to 2019.

See I told you I need to quit drinking. You’re right.
I haven’t been impressed with TJ since he was at Ponchatoula High, and all I’ve see is the same tall kid with the same terrible accuracy and decision making skills that he had then. I was surprised that LSU even offered him.

Exactly. This guy will not make an NFL roster. First round? Some of you must have started drinking early in anticipation of the baseball game against UGA today.

Ok i’ll double down just for arguments sake. Did you see the same promise in Burrow in 2018 headed into the 2019 season as what you see in TJ from last year heading into this year?
I mean Burrow was pretty damn good in 2018 as well, and capped it off with a very inspiring Fiesta Bowl win in 2018. What excited you about 2021 TJ Finley? Serious question.

Finley was a true freshman that had to start because of injury to our actual starter and you're comparing him to an upper-class transfer. Not really a fair comparison.

Pretty damn good isn't how I'd describe 2018 on the whole for Burrow. There were glimmers such as the bowl game, but Finley also had some glimmers too. Our team also was garbage relative to what we had in 2018, so again not really fair comparison.

I also am not making the case that TJ was the best or even the second best QB on our roster. You're kinda putting words in my mouth here.

You were actually the one who brought up Burrow in comparison.

Burrow had 5 int’s the whole year with 16 tds. Should I look up TJs stats or do you already know them?
