Principled Conservative George Will: “January 6 Was On Scale With September 11”

On ABC...

“I would like to see January 6th burned into the minds of every American as firmly as 9/11 was because it was on that scale of a shock to the system.”

People often refer to George Will as an intellectual. He’s not. He’s a flat out idiot.

It is astonishingly stupid to compare what happened on January 6 to the greatest, deadliest attack on American soil, an attack that cost the lives of 3000 souls, obliterated two of the tallest buildings and symbols of power in the world, grounded every airplane in the country, changed air travel forever, birthed the modern police surveillance state and mass warrantless spying, spawned two separate wars that cost the lives of hundreds of thousands of people and cost the US trillions of dollars, etc etc.

That comparison by George Will is one of the single dumbest statements I’ve ever heard a person say aloud in public. It reeks of someone completely out of touch with reality, who has allowed emotion, personal animosity, and, frankly, delusion skew his judgment to such a degree as to reduce him to nothing more than a fool.
