quote:uh what? Outside of Ja and Jackson (both top 3 picks), they have drafted quality high floor guys. Literally none of them were young developing type players. You knew what you were getting from Bane, Tillman, Brooks (tho he’s improved), Clarke, etc. all guys who have played college for 3+ years
No they don’t

Doesn’t automatically make them low ceiling players. Those dudes are all late picks and contributing to a playoff team. If it were that easy to find 2nd round players that contribute then everyone in the league would draft “low ceiling players”.

Are you kidding me right now? The 30th pick and 2nd rounders? They are lucky one of them is even in the nba, much less all three contributing in a major way.
They are drafting better than us, and developing players better than us. We have more talent than them, yet we are the team sitting on out asses right now while they are in the playoffs.

i prefer that.
i think its a gm style.
know what you are getting.
and not hope athlete is willing and able to learn.
it takes real discipline and a good coach.
morant is interesting case.
could not shoot.
but gifted passer and gifted athlete.
if he learned 3 pt shot the pick payed off.
he still doesnt have a jumper. same as zion.
they get by on physical gifts.
if either one can do ordinary jumpers some day that one is near impossible to cover.
