I’m in West Seattle visiting family. I was here in June of last year, and I’m happy to report some progress. In June, almost the only swinging dick outside with no mask was me! Others inscribed a 30 feet diameter semi-circle to go around me, giving the stink-eye the whole way.

Now, half the folks outside have no mask. My daughter told me that that is a phenomenon of the last two weeks, since the CDC told them they could.

There are still LOTS of folks wearing masks while alone in cars. I believe these people will never unmask. It has become a virtue signal and a symbol of religious observance.

About every eighth house has a BLM sign. And they believe in love (except for you and me), science (except about masks), black lives mattering (except for the nightly inner city casualties), no human is illegal (unless one of those unwashed tries to break into THEIR house), and kindness is everything (unless you are a Republican).

Once you get outside the People's City of Seattle, the state gets very, very red.

Honestly this sounds like a great way to enjoy Seattle. Keep the progressive authoritarians away from you. They can't ship you to the gulag if they are afraid to be within 30 feet.

It's too bad those days are over.

Sounds like JNU. People who virtue signal the most are usually the angriest, and most confused.

I have a strong desire to run these folks off the road when I see them driving.

There are LOTS of Uber and Lyft drivers and they have to be masked per company guidelines.

Not really. The entire Sound is blue.

You have to go to the Eastern burbs for that.

Seattle contains more insanity than NYC or San Fran.

I live in West Seattle and can confirm this. My neighbor still hasn't gone out to eat yet since last year.

However, the worst part about all this is the bridge connecting it to the rest of the city being declared unfit in March of 2020 and has been a nightmare.
Strange timing.

Ted Bundy should have stayed in Seattle instead of going to Florida.

I do too. We should do an OTGT at some point.

I've spent a ton of time walking my dog around West Seattle during the pandemic and have refused to wear a mask outside and haven't experienced any negativity. Last summer there were a lot of other people outside without masks also. In fact, images of Alki packed full of people with no masks went viral and angered the woke crowd multiple times last summer. I didn't really notice outdoor mask usage become very widespread around West Seattle specifically until around Thanksgiving when we rolled everything back.

Same in my little enclave of whiteness. Big BLM signs, We Believe....signs, and the awesome huge black power fist up the arse flags. Oh, I think there are 4 or 5 blacks in about a population of 20,000.

Maybe you're right about Thanksgiving, can't remember. I have never worn a mask outside. People have almost killed themselves trying to avoid me before but never got any verbal negativity. Got many dirty looks inside before they mandated for businesses to use.
I've stayed a lot with my GF in N Seattle because of the bridge and can say other parts of the city are much more committed.

Almost the entirety of the pacific northwest is red outside of metropolitan areas.

It really doesn't, at least where most people live. Over the mountains maybe. I believe every county by the sound went to Biden.

1. West Seattle was awesome when I visited. Seemed like an oasis near the big city. Alki Beach was gorgeous, and a very relaxed vibe around it. Props to you for affording that..:

2. The West Seattle Bridge is closed? That’s gotta add a ton of time to any commute.
