Have a 2017 f150 4wd.
Stock tires are 275/65r18.

Want something a little bigger with a more aggressive tread that still drives well. The outside rim is 19.5 wide, so I think that means it’s an 18 “ rim.
Recommendations?

I put a two inch level kit on the front and was able to fit 35s without any rubbing. Went with Toyo all terrains and they look pretty mean.

Ridge grapplers. I tried to put RG's in 35x12.5r20's on my stock 20s which were I think 8.5" wide and Discount Tire wouldn't do it, although I know alot of people running 12.5" wide on stock ford wheels so idk. If you have a level you can put 35s forsure because the offset (atleast with oem 20s is +44), its gonna be the width of the tire that might cause the rubbing but with such a positive offset and the way Ford's wheel wells are, you can fit beefy and tall tires.

TLDR: guarantee you there are a million threads on f150forum with this same question, just google it and type "f150forum oem 18" wheels and 35s" or something similar, make sure you're in a thread for the 15-20 year model.

I run the Nitto Ridge Grapplers in 305 55R 20 on a 2018 with a 2" leveling kit.

Definitely 18s.

I went with a 275/70 on my F150 which are about 33s compared to the stock 32s.

Check out the Toyo website, click the wheel size and then "show full specs", great way to compare actual dimensions of the different size tires.

A thread on 35s with oem 18s.

With a 2" level it may be tight depending on the brand of tire you get but 34s should look good. there are a bunch of pictures on that thread to compare.

A guy in my neighborhood has the perfect setup in my opinion. He’s got an 18 F-150 FX4 with a 2 inch leveling kit on it with 34.5” tires

It looks absolutely phenomenal and I’m a Chevy guy (or used to be)

Same level kit set-up but I am running Toyo MT's in a 295 55R 20 on my F150. It measures about 34.5". I have zero issues.

I had basically the same set up and it did look really good imo, well the level was 2.5" and 34.1 tires but I ended up lifting it. But I see alot of level kit fords and 33-35s and they look perfect in my opinion. Definitely an inexpensive (comparatively) way to make the truck (any brand) look great.

I’ve got 18’s with 33” Toyos and a 2” lift. Love the look. Will lose a smoother ride and tad bit of gas mileage but understood.

Falken Wildpeak at3w. I run these in my F-150 and love them. For me, the best tires I’ve ever purchased, and I’ve tried Nitto, Firestone, BF Goodrich, etc. The tread lasts a long time and the sidewall tread is as functional as it is good looking. Give them a look see. I just found the largest tire I could run on my stock rims, and they look good.
