Ah, makes sense. Wasn't thinking about the servitude like someone pointed out earlier.

I'd ask about the rear area being a servitude. You might not be able to build over it anyway. I'm assuming that because of how the neighbor on the corner and the neighbor behind you have the gap between their fences.

The strip between the three neighbor's houses was designated for a walkway to what was originally designed to be a green space. My property butts up against it.
