As much as I like the sentiment, the sign IN the photo shows a max of $3.98/gal gas price, not $5.
When the message itself can be debunked by a simple glance, it waters down the message. The other side has an entire media complex to shield them when their messaging is contradictory to their goals. We don't.
ETA:
Y'all can keep downvoting, but you CAN'T change the absolute truth I am laying out. Messaging is key, in todays ignorant society.
See if we can get to 100 downvotes, PLEASE!!

He had to fight both the Democrat and the Republican establishments. In addition to the entrenched bureaucratic deep state. That’s the downside of being an outsider, is that you don’t have many allies in place when they are needed the most.
How do you not get that.
You should really be angry at the GOP establishment who would rather play lap dogs to democratic control then to stand up for what is right. Remember, these are the same people who swore to us for eight years that they were going to repeal and replace Obamacare, and then gave us John McCain with his idiotic thumbs down vote . Putting your trust in people like that will only end in disappointment.

Agreed, of course. Assuming the goal is to get the 'moderate left' and 'middle' to come to their senses about their support of Biden, though, a simple photo-crop of a sliver off of the left-side would make a more effective message.

You’re just flat out wrong. The actual price in the meme doesn’t matter that much given that gas price changes so rapidly. If there are gas lines, one could reasonably presume the price would be increasing daily as well. I think they got it chief. And stop being weird.

I remember it well, my saving grace, I was working in NYC at the time so I only needed enough gas to get to the train station and back. Lucked out then but if shortages start here in NE, I'm screwed. Living in the country, nothing is close by.
