I just don’t think 16 teams are worthy of a playoff spot. You’d have 4 loss teams getting in.

Are 16 seed teams worthy in college basketball?

In 2019 you'd have

LSU
Ohio State
Clemson
Oklahoma
Oregon
Appalachian State
Memphis
FAU
Miami (OH)
Boise State

All of them receiving autos assuming we went CBB rules with Miami being the only teams not having double digit wins.

For the at large teams we'd have (Going by the final CFP rankings)

Georgia
Baylor
Wisconsin
Florida

Now LSU probably still wins that tourney because how good they were but there's absolutely no guarantee the other games are absolute chaos

Of course we could also go P5 teams auto and a bunch of at large teams as well which gives Penn State, Auburn, Bama, Utah, and Michigan a chance
