Alabama would probably have the same number of NCs even with the playoffs. Just trade 2014 (OSU was the no.4 seed and Bama would’ve probably played weak arse FSU) for the 2017 title (Bama was the no.4).

Because it has significantly devalued major bowl games and devalued having good, not great, seasons for non-traditional powers.
