Your OP insinuates that he was assured that the job would be his which is why he sold out. Now you’re crawfishing that a passing convo may have happened?

CoS may have been the feature of the package for his betrayal but you would be gullible to not believe that LSU Prez or other jobs of similar stature wasn't discussed at all and a point that tipped it in favor of JBE.

He didn’t endorse Edwards to get the LSU Prez job. He endorsed Edwards because he was offered the precise job he is currently in and was likewise promised that he could actively protect film subsidies from there. On top of that, he was promised Edwards would never target the film tax credits for reform while he was in office.
All promises which Edwards kept. All of which he did. All of which made Dardenne happy since he was worried about his son’s involvement in film subsidies.
Why do you keep trying to continually frame state politics through this hyper partisan lens here? Everything begins and ends with the parties for you, it’s strange.
