Man, it’s really cool that we have to be careful and mindful about how many minutes we play our 27 yr old center that’s making 30 mil this year lol. And god forbid we ask our highest paid player on the team to help anchor a bench unit for 5 minutes a game.

Assuming Jaxson is ready for a starting role at some point next season I've wondered if Adams could be similar to Chicago Asik in a bench role. The games where Adams has a match up advantage he's been dominant. Would he be dominant more often against bench bigs?

stop comparing his production to his salary this year. We didn't give him that contract. We gave him $17M/yr for the next 2 years. The only player on this team anyone should ever compare production to salary to is BI, and Adams next year.

You need to look at Adams salary lumped in with Jaxson, same with Bledsoe and Kira. Both of those older guys seem to have a positive affect on and off the court for those young guys, and right now for this team, that is what is important. We aren't signing some big name FA's anytime soon, so what the hell is the point of complaining about our players salaries? If they are tradeable without giving up real assets, then their salary is just fine.

I said it when Horford was a FA, that we should have gone after him. You overpay him and you hope that he eventually turns Jaxson into a quality starter by year 3. If Jaxson can't be our starter at some point next year or year 4, then that was a bust of a pick, but i have no problem overpaying for a veteran that plays his arse off and helps our young guys progress and succeed.
Right now is not the time to bitch about salaries. In 3 years, yes we should be dissecting every salary we have.
If you haven't noticed, we don't have anyone on the books when Zion is ready for his max other than BI and rookies, and i would bet it will stay like that in every offseason until then. We aren't going sign anyone in this offseason to anything more than 2 years b/c i'm sure we are trying to keep our books as clean as possible when Zion gets his max so we can try to maximize that offseason, which by then hopefully we are making some noise in the postseason.
