Resident Evil 8 Discussion (No Spoilers)

Yep, one of my most hyped releases of the year. Everything looks bigger and better than 7. Huge sprawling map with varied locations, way more robust weapons and upgrade system, more varied areas, bigger scale and scope.

Haven’t played any of the demos or watched anything past the initial trailer. Saw the leaked map and said “yep I’m in”

I played both demos that released on the PS4. Neither one really spoiled anything but it was kind of just a preview of the village area and the castle. It looks incredible. I can’t imagine how it would look and feel in person on a next gen console

Yeah if the PS5 wasn’t coming out then I’m sure it’d be available for PSVR. But like you said I’m sure they want to bring it to the PSVR2 or whatever it’s gonna be called. I get it tho. I’m just thankful the base game is still gonna be on PS4. Might be awhile before I get a 5

When it comes out, we need to turn this thread into a RE8 (spoiler free) zone where we talk about our first impressions and complaints or whatever we want. Or we could always talk about spoilers as we go and just put it in the title. Up to y’all.

You know in the trailer when Lady D says something like “I see you’ve escaped my idiot brother’s games”....do we think she’s referring to Lucas or Jack Baker? I feel like she’s talking about Lucas bc he was more of the one who played games with you. But I saw other people saying they thought it was Jack.

Pretty sure that she means heisenberg. Guy in trench coat and glasses. Believe he is a lycan. But it’s difficult to know without full context.

I’m 99.9% sure that both Lucas and Jack are dead post resi 7 dlc.

Definitely I love how immersive RE games are. The story line and theme look so bad arse.

Want to like it but the gunplay on PC was pretty garbage. Castle looked pretty good but the village section didn’t really impress me especially with the sponge enemy’s. Demo made me wait at least a bit.
