I saw online LSU has lost 5 of the 7 SEC series openers
They come back most of the time in games 2 and 3 but that is a bad trend to set and not one that will like be successful in post season play continuing to put yourself into a hole early.
Hopefully we come back and win the series

Just asking the question without much knowledge, but what’s the current take on Torina? Seems we were making the CWS early on after she got to campus but haven’t recently. It’s a really tough conference but wondering if they’re content with the current situation.

I can't imagine that she is in any kind of hot seat at all. If you take out the half year last year, it's only been 2 season since the last time the team was in OKC. Somebody posted that the team has been ranked every week since 2014, she isn't going anywhere unless she decides to take another job.

I’ve said this before, but why does Dobson continue to get a pass every year? We are wildly inconsistent at the plate and it’s not like we lack talent.

She's a good coach, has LSU in supers every year.
You could make an argument maybe things should be changed or addressed with the offense. I know we played a difficult schedule but we are also 7th in the SEC standings right now and are 2nd to last in the conference in hitting averages.

Thanks, I was just asking the question based on what I see in results. She has gotten us to 4 World Series and that’s impressive. It’s a tough and deep conference no doubt. We are 10-9 in conference play I think with the loss today. Since she’s arrived, Florida (2) and Alabama (1) have won national championships and Florida, Tennessee, Auburn, and Alabama have been runner up. No SEC championships yet but hoping we can get over the hump. Just not sure what it’s going to take to get to there.

I hope Beth retires here. However, look at the softball Facebook and Instagram pages. This program has many soccer mom-and-dad type fans who bristle at anything said or posted about softball that they deem “negative”—the same people who think DeAngelo Sanchez is such a great fan.
In other words, there is no real push for Beth and Scott to take a hard-eyed look at the program in the offseason and ask, “Okay, what do we need to do to get from a top 15 program to a top 5 program?” Most softball fans seem perfectly content where we are and there is no real distress that our last trip to OKC gets further and further in the rear view mirror. That’s why Dobson gets a pass every year for this team’s utter offensive futility against WCWS-level teams.
Host Regional. Lose Super on road. Rinse. Repeat. The majority of fans, the coaching staff, and the AD administration seem perfectly happy with that. I don’t like it but it is what it is.

I’m just dropping in to give my usual Howard Dobson sucks post. I can’t imagine being given a job with 8 years to spare and suck this badly
