Looks like almost every southern state, and Illinois.

How about Jefferson Davis? We do, for now.

Well Louisiana is wrong... there is a Lincoln Parish in addition to Washington and Jefferson.

We don’t have those queer county things in Louisiana. We have parishes. Like real Americans.

Ruston says hi from Lincoln Parish.

I don’t know how those states out west don’t have at least one.
The ones on the eastern seaboard I understand. They all have old English sounding names like Sussex County from colonial days.

Crazy that Cali has none.

Of some sort of historical note is the fact that Lincoln Parish was "cut" during Reconstruction from the already existing Parishes of Claiborne, Union, Bienville and Jackson. For reasons of fairness or equity in some way or fashion. I honestly don't know the exact reason, but that it was an action done specifically during Reconstruction would be the key to the answer.

Wouldn’t surprise me. We also have Grant and Union parishes, which were probably added under similar circumstances.

So what’s the Louisiana equivalent to “King of the County”?

Which one of these Parishes should we rename Trump Parish?

Ya know I always thought the same thing about Union Parish but asked around up there and found otherwise. Union Parish was founded prior to the Civil War, 1839 specifically. From what I understand the idea behind the name is a geographical point of "Union" between Louisiana and Arkansas. Side note, Junction City is a town half of which is in Union Parish and the other half in Union County, Arkansas. Unique part of the state up there, to say the least. I spend a decent amount of time in the Union Parish courthouse in Farmerville. Another side note of interest, Union Parish boasts of the most state road mileage of all Louisiana's parishes. What that amounts to is lots of meth labs out of sight and out of mind.

Your map is wrong. Louisiana has all 3.
