The part I don't fully understand is naming TAF as a defendant.

From the article:

If TAF was used to fundraise for a program, can they really be held liable if LSU didn't effectively run that program?

They’re the fundraising arm for the football program. They want that money, not just the university’s money.

shotgun approach from the lawbaws, same as a gofundme for defending the Manson family, distasteful? probably, illegal? hell to the naw!
