Pretty sure I am going to risk it with the 45s. Here's why.
I read review after review of 50 to 54 AH batteries delivering multiple day's usage. I do not fish tournaments. I do not fish moving water. I do not fish all day. I almost never run my motor over 3/4 speed. Finally, I would like to actually run these down a bit so I can charge them more often on the 3 bank charger with my AGM.

I have the precision as well. Why are you worried about running them down? Each bank charges separately and will go into maintenance mode for that particular bank when ready. If you get a lithium with the BMS it will shut the battery off regardless. That is how I am set up.

Why are you worried about running them down?
It just bothers me to think I am putting a battery on charge that is reading 93%. I can't defend it and am not saying anyone else should be bothered.

as far as the charging frequency - I haven't owned one of these batteries, so I don't know what the manufacturer says about charging.
I know AGM's are a different breed altogether, but I have a 48v hunting cart with AGM's and 3 AGM's in my boat. I have always been told by the dealers, and have always made it a practice, to charge them after every use - and then leave them on charge. I know the charger on my cart is programmed to go into a "leveling" mode and then basically shut down until the voltage drops to some level that tells the charger to come back on for a while.
I'd want to know a lot more about lithium batteries and chargers before I'd leave them continuously hooked up to the charger.

Sleep is underrated. Anything to make your world safer and help get a good night's rest is worth it (within reason, of course).
I hope those lithium batteries work well for you. I stopped fishing tournaments quite a few years ago, so like you, I rarely run my batteries down to a low level.
The kind of situation I worry about (there's that "worry" term again), is having a breakdown with the big engine, or running out of fuel, bending a prop or .. whatever, and having to rely on the trolling motor to get me to a landing or "safe harbor" during a storm. So I use two "full size" trolling motor batteries, JIC.
I still want to see pics of your new Cat.

I've been running lithium's for 3 years now with no issues. 2 60AH trolling and 1 54 cranking. I sight fish reds for the most part which is basically running the trolling motor for 5 hrs straight on #4-5. I have fished 2 days on a single charge.
I saved about ~130 pounds in the switch, which is a decent amount in a hull that weighs right over 500 pounds.

Ordered 2 60AH batteries today. Chickened out on crank battery. Boat comes with a large AGM, so I will wait for its demise, then probably switch to lithium then.

Glad they had some back in stock. You should be pleased with the lithium’s, voltage stays up and you will never have that slowing down of the t motor. ( until it dies completely)

This thing will make your two stroke seem like a child in the hole shot department. Grunt.
They’ve had some minor issues regarding throttle adjustments but that’s on the installers not Mercury.

Torque increase is noticeable but not overwhelming. Speed is no different and fuel economy is slightly (6-8%) worse with the 4-stroke. New engine is not noticeably quieter.
All things being the same, I prefer the 2-stroke Pro XS.

Have about 30 hrs on my 21’ 4s 250 Pro XS. Absolutely trouble free so far.
Make sure you do the Lower Unit fluid changes at regular intervals. Mine at 20 hrs break-in looked pretty rough, or so said the dealer, whom I trust implicitly. (Nice to know they do exist ;). )

14 months with my 300R with zero issues, I can't turn the same props. Had to drop 2 pitches on my speed props and another 2 for the every day beater props. Winter time the R was about 2 mph faster than the XS's I have run on the same hull, summer time and its 2 to 3 mphs slower than the XS's. I took it to the shop to see what was wrong with it last summer after the drop off, nothing wrong, it just doesn't like hot water and air. No issues so far with the lith as my cranking battery. I have a 450r due in around September, then we'll have some fun. Also on the list for a new Simmons Sig, about a year out for it.
