I didn't know that it was "obvious" that Jordan Jefferson wouldn't redshirt.

We should offer App. St.'s punter a scholarship.

They can play some games and still redshirt, they're not mutually exclusive events.

Not if it's not claimed as a medical redshirt. The rule is one play, you can't redshirt. The reason some have been able to do it in the past is because they convince the NCAA of an injury.

I think Hagans is just as good as any of the defensive linemen they have out there. He should be playing. I think he has the most potential in playing out of all the rest...but defense is stacked right now. I'm not sure what's going to happen, and I'm pretty sure the players themselves have no idea.

Clement won't play, not needed this year.

Why waste his redshirt?

He will redshirt to completely heal from his Senior year injury. Then Tommy Moffit will work his butt back into shape.

Well they are still eligible to redshirt. The ruling on redshirting is they can play a maximum of 1/3 of the team's first... like 8 games?? or something like that and they are still eligible for redshirting. So I wouldn't rule out redshirting for all of those listed on the top of your post.

No. Why do we go through this every year?

Where did this list come from? Not accurate. Some of the guys listed didn't play last week.

Because its true, it may be more strict than it was, say 5 years ago. But most football players are constantly nursing some kind of minor injury. Making it easy at one time to still get that medical redshirt as a freshman even if you play a little early on. There were numerous examples of this, especially during the Saban years. Not sure if Miles has really taken advantage of this, or if he really still can. The rules may be more strict now.
