Some of you act like what he does on a baseball field is all that matters. Look, I hope he retires at the end of the season, because he just doesn’t have it anymore, but the man deserves a lot of respect. He turns these kids into men, makes sure they act professional to the media and the public, and makes sure that they go to class and get a degree. There are all sorts of other things he does, that have nothing to do with baseball. He’s a class act, and we were really fortunate to have a good baseball coach, and a class act. It’s hard to find someone who can be both and he was up until recently (I think his dad passing away was the nail in the coffin for his coaching career).
He doesn’t deserve to be treated like shite and it’s a real shame that so many of y’all have this horrible view of him. We are a classy program who had a classy head coach. I take pride in being a classy program. LSU baseball is just so much different than football and all the other sports. That coach deserves respect for what he’s done here, not hate.

He’s coaching a top ten roster to a missed post season outcome.. I’m not asking him to quit. I’m saying he should be fired.

Paul is not going to retire. He, and his Allies, will fight it tooth and nail. So it really doesn't matter if he's jettisoned now or at the end of the year. Woodward will have to uncharacteristically show some balls, and buy him out.
