1. She is from Franklinton, Louisiana
2. She has 27 years experience as a head coach.
3. Her first head coaching job was at Loranger HS. She won a few state championships there.
4. She’s worked her way up from there, going to NAIA, junior college, now D-1 Troy University. She turned every one of those programs around and made them championship level. She took Pensacola State (used to be Pensacola Junior college) to a few Final Four’s, was named National Junior College coach of the year.
5. Just a few weeks ago, her Troy Trojans, a 15 seed, almost beat #2 seed Texas A&M. If it weren’t for a very bad call, they would have had a chance to win it in the last few seconds.
6. As a bonus, her husband is a high school head football coach. He won a state championship a few years ago. I added that because I know how much Louisiana loves high school football!

If given a chance, she could make LSU a National Championship program!!!

You have been pushing this really hard on here. Is she your sister or something?

How about Nell Fortner? My mom is friends with her, says she loves Louisiana and is definitely a top notch coach. No inside info here, but is she a realistic candidate?

Does Woodard have a Ponamsky that reads the Rant and reports back?

You're a good salesman. I've never even heard of her, but I'm in!

I almost started this thread about her this morning. I second your opinion. She is highly thought of as a coach in my area. Would be a fantastic hire that could start off with a cheap contract with lots of incentives

She was the girls coach while I was there. Our girls team won their first state championship in '96, the year after I graduated.

I agree she should be given a serious look. She has been successful at every level of coaching and should come at a reasonable price. Give her the reigns and see what she can do.

I went to college with her. She was pretty cool. That's all I got.

Big fan! Straight from her Bio: 1. Took the 247th DI women’s team on to qualify for 4 NCAA Tournaments. 2. Has lead the NCAA in rebounds 4 straight years in a row. 3. #3 in scoring offense this year. Top 10 for 6 straight years in the NCAA 4. Has been a head coach at some level since 1992. 5. Every program she has touch as turned to GOLD!

Let’s get it done! She’s a program builder and her teams always lead the country in scoring and rebounding!

If you're looking for an in-state connection with plenty of D1 experience consider Christy Curry at Alabama.
