Pinson is a junior. So he can still play 2 more years.

I’m not pumping anyone. Pinson can 100% be better than those stats at Mizzou where they are a defense first, inside out team.
I never said Pinson is an All-SEC guy, but he’s better than Cook RIGHT NOW. LSU lost basically all their scoring production. So we are going to rely on Gaines who looked inconsistent and Cook who showed basically nothing?
Getting Pinson makes LSU a better team next year. It’s not even a question. Wade has seen Pinson in person, scouted him, and seen tons of Cook. He chose Pinson.

Funny thing about bashing a “4yr player”. Y’all trashed skylar Mays and he ended up being the best player in the Wade era lol

Cook is better then Gaines RIGHT NOW.
Coach Wade misjudged this one. Maybe Gaines offense turns around next year, but he was a poor shooting turnover machine this last season.

Josh Gray came to LSU weighing 205 lbs. At 6-11 & 205 he was another Dwayne Spencer or Chris Johnson but he has no outside game like those 2 did. There is no way he was ready for the physical grind of the SEC. This was essentially a redshirt year for him. Nothing wrong with that. Get a little experience and bulk up for next season. Cook's parents were unhappy with his PT. They want him to go somewhere that he will get more time. Its that simple. Will doesnt guarantee these kids anything. You earn your minutes. Ive been around college hoops a long time. The pressure these kids face from family members and friends is enormous. Almost every parent thinks their son or daughter should be playing 40 min and getting 20 shots per game. In HS all these kids dominated. Then you get to college and EVERYONE is as good as you or better. Stark reality. HS numbers are significantly inflated because the best player can simply dominate because of the lack of competition. So their averages are off the charts. But its not a realistic gauge of how good they are because they are usually way better than everyone else. Sorry for the long rant.

Cook is undersized and wade likes big guards. Puns on will start for 1-2 season then Gaines will. Cooks saw he would never start so he left

Yeah I feel like Cook was probably the one who initiated it. Wade said in an interview that he was looking at bringing in 2 or 3 new guys before Pinson committed to us so he knew some players would be transferring. And the optics wouldn't be good in the local circuits if you pushed a local kid out after his freshman season.
