I really can't stand how he plays Zion in the 4th.

He's been doing this all year, and last night something happened that i'm sure most of you didn't notice, but it's not the first or second time it's happened this year, it just didn't bite us in the arse last night like it has before b/c Cleveland sucks and we got a bit lucky with them missing a bunch of wide open 3's down the stretch last night.

Last night we saw Zion sitting at the scores table for 2 minutes. He went there with 6 minutes left. We had 3 timeouts at this time. You could see everyone on the court is getting gased. The opposing team doesn't want to call a timeout b/c they don't want Zion coming in, and our idiot coach won't call one either, so Zion just sits at the scorers table waiting to enter the game.
He entered the game after Naji was able to draw a foul, but then he couldn't come in b/c he was coming in for Naji. Luckily the ball went out of bounds after Naji missed the 2nd free throw so Zion could come in around the 4 minutes mark. It's sad that Naji missing a free throw and Adams tipping it out of bounds was about the best thing that could happen at that time.

I'd like to remind you of something i said earlier in this rant. We had 3 timeouts. If you didn't know, you cannot go into the last 3 minutes with 3 timeouts. If you have 3 timeouts, one of them disappears after the 3 minute mark, and if you're following along, yes, we lost that timeout b/c we didn't use it. Completely wasted timeout.
So instead of calling a timeout while James Johnson and Naji Marshall are the only guys putting up shots while Zion sits at the scorers table, we just kept it in our back pocket so we could throw it in the garbage a minute later.

Like i said, this isn't the first time this has happened, as i'm sure most of you have recognized Zion standing at the scorers table for 2-3 minutes waiting to get in the game around the 5 minute mark.

And to end on a positive note, Zion has been other worldly these last few games, and i really like what Naji has been bringing to the table these last few games.

I shite you not Teddy. Up until reading your post, the content on this board is so doom and gloom that I didn’t even look up the score last night. I was sure we’d lost. So I appreciate it bud and no I’m not being sarcastic. Made my morning a little better.

I would not be shocked at all to find out that Stan had no idea this rule existed

Agree completely. His rotations in the 4th are the things that biddy basketball are made of. It is embarrassing and frustrating that our star player is on the sidelines in a close game because Stan does not know how to use timeouts or simply seems to think it is a good idea to sit Zion for at least a third of the 4th quarter.
