The owner must live in Slidell because I see it every once in awhile.

100 miles off a 10 minute charge. Full charge is 350 miles= 35minute charge. So stopping for "fuel" just went from a 5-10minute stop to a 45 minute stop at minimum long road trips are beginning to look a lot longer in the future.

Also, they are featuring 2 screens in this SUV. One that measures 12.3" diagonally, and the other 13.4". Yet I can get a fricking ticket for being on my phone? I got fussed at by a cop for being on my phone at a red light once. I don't get this world lol. Are we allowing screens in the car or not?

First time I have heard the term “infinity roof” on a vehicle. Do you gaze at the sky while you’re driving or does it turn into a camper where you can look at the stars?

Not only that but you would have to plan out your trip to make sure where there are charging stations. You can't just take it down to a low charge and then plan on pulling over at the next exit to charge.

The reality is if you traded 100 people the most comparable EV for their ICE for a month 80% of them would come away preferring the EV and if they were a two or more car household the number would increase to probably closer to 90%.

Won't be getting one for a few good reasons:

1) First generation of the model. It's gonna have a bunch of problems that no one thought of while they were in their hurry to market it at a high price.

2) It's electric. I live in the south. We have these things called hurricanes along the coast and severe storms further inland. Power can be lost for days at a time. No place to plug up and recharge when there isn't any power to be had.

3) I just finally got rid of a 2007 Hummer H3 that, while I did enjoy it and had intended to drive it until the wheels fell off as long as it was cheaper to repair than purchase a new vehicle, I would do it. But every year when I went to renew the tag it was an automatic fail because the service light was on. The H3 never made it more than sixty days without another issue arising. Eventually, spending $500 to $3000 every year just on repairs to get a tag got more frustrating than just laying out the cash for a new vehicle.

4) My four previous SUVs had been a Chevrolet Blazer or Trailblazer. Each one of them had problems and could not stay out of the shop despite all the preventative maintenance I had done. So, I'm pretty much burnt out on Chevrolet and GM products.

I think I'm gonna like my 8-cyl, EcoBoost, Ford F-150 King Ranch a hell of a lot better than anything that I've ever owned that was made by GM or a subsidiary or sister company. The biggest turn off for me, though, is an electric SUV. Sure, it has lots of power readily available, but the infrastructure for it doesn't exist in our region as readily as need be to make it feasible, and the very real loss of power due to hurricanes and severe storms in our region of the country makes a gasoline or petroleum powered auto more reasonable and appealing. (At least it does to me.)

If you're drawn to it, then go for it. If it turns out to be an SUV that you absolutely love, then get back on here and sing its praises to tell the rest of us how wrong we were in our prejudice against it. I mean, I have to admit it's a good looking auto, but I fear that's all she has to offer right now.

Why the hell don't they include an engine to charge batteries? I guess that makes too much sense.

Guess I'll just file away your entire, far too wordy, post as BS as you made an obvious mistake while trying to come across as an OT baller.

Admittedly wordy. Just not a fan of GM or Chevy. Not sure what a "baller" is though. Maybe I'm just old and out of touch with you youngsters. I just like having a gas powered truck that isn't made by GM.

Anyway, hope you have a good evening. Glad I could provide you with a longer read than you usually get from your Marvel "graphic novels."

I'll just point out that if you really did buy what you claim, you're not an informed buyer.

Ecoboost's are not V8's.

I'll just chuckle while you whine about having to do maintenance on a 14+ year old vehicle.

Maybe I'm wrong about whether it's an EcoBoost. It has the little placard on the side. The engine definitely has 8 cylinders though. I never complained about maintenance. I complained about incessant repairs. You seem to have reading comprehension issues today. I don't know why. Usually you're pretty on point.

You're correct about the EcoBoost though. Can't figure out why it has that little placard on the front quarter panel. Definitely 8-cyl though. No turbo to it.

Time for me to do a little research. And - my apologies regarding my "Marvel comics" remarks previously. You do generally post well. Still not sure what you mean by baller though.

Anyway, have a good evening. There are other topics to be perused.

I agree completely. An EV, at this time, cannot perform for me like an ICE SUV can. It doesn’t currently fit my lifestyle and what I demand out of my vehicle. When they can, I will entertain purchasing one. They have a long long way to go!

Put a windmill generator on top, and the battery will stay charged.
