Broadband is the product of the providers, not the damn government.

The democrat definition of “infrastructure” appears to be “things we don’t want to pay for with our own money.”.

I'm fairly certain our citizens who have a hand in competing with China have had broadband for a while now

There’s already e-rate which brings internet to rural school systems. It used to be charged to us through the home phone monthly bill. Not sure how the money is confiscated now.

Yet the majority of the broadband network was built with subsidies. We’ve already paid for it.

I do think broadband is becoming a utility like the electric, gas, and water companies. Thankfully, most of those are locally controlled and not run by the federal government. Local government is usually more responsive to their citizens than anything federal.

Whats his reason for tweeting that? Trying to justify making free internet another government handout that the middle class gets to fund for everyone else? Or is he suggesting more investment in bringing high speed internet to rural areas that lack it currently? If the latter, then African American businessman and innovator Elon Musk has that covered with Starlink
