I retired at 49 and unretired this year. I spent my time bored and unengaged. I will never retire again.
What did you do to get there?

I was on pace to be retired by 55 then I got a divorce. Now my ex is retired at 40 and I won’t be able to retire until I’m at least 65

I was 60 years old. Worked my butt off since 12 years old.

This is OT. We are all retired by our early 30s.

I have planned my retirement for age 85 assuming all goes well.

42. Just retired this year. I was pretty good at throwing a football and pandering.

Nothing wrong with that. Dad told me it was time for me to get a job when I was 9. Had 2 the next year.

59+. Had a 401K for 26 years and a pension buyout with a lump sum. Also was provided company insurance for retirement which I pay for but not as expensive as the marketplace.

Hopefully before 60 but it's pretty unlikely. I'd bail out of the rat race tomorrow if I could afford it.
How much would it take for you to feel like you could afford it?
I'm worried that I'll never be satisfied and willing to make the leap.

I’d love to retire right now but technically I can’t till 2045 to receive full SS but I’m sure that shite will be dried up by the time I get to that age.
Good thing I have land, saving, 401K, and other investments. I’m retiring when I’m 65-67 regardless

Cool. Appreciate the feedback.
Like I said, I stay somewhat busy. But mainly enjoy watching the kiddos adapting to a “new” country.

Funny thing after this happened to me I had more money and things then I did while I was married. I do pay child support and one day that extra monthly $$$$ will buy me a few nice things or help my kids if they need financial help

I worked at the New Orleans Sewerage & Water Board for 2 years and scammed the city out of millions for literally no work.
Kidding. I’m not retired. I’m still running the scam.
