Everyone was affected by it and everyone had interest in it. The tickers and daily counts and constant coverage wasn't because of how big an issue it was or is but how much it moves the needle. So the media does what it always does: BREAKING NEWS! HYPERBOLE! 3 MILLION DEATHS!!!1! Because the more people believed it was the worst thing even, the more likely they were to tune in to find out the next big story on it. Yes, politicians and others took advantage of that wave of fear. But ultimately, it was because of ratings from the MSM perspective. Same with Trump. They can't stop talking about him.
You think the media and Karen is going to be happy about either of those facts?
