The joke was her, they'd lost their lease and it was a Brooklyn Bridge-esque acquisition.

Was duck hunting in richland parish in a rice field around 2017 or so. We killed a group of teal, my lab went out for the retrieve and a bald eagle swooped down and stole the teal about 5-10 feet in front of my dog.

I once won a $6200 progressive jackpot at an online casino (and yes, they paid).

since we are talking about cards,

Playing pedro me and my uncle are up 51 to -2. Game was wizzing by and we were kicking arse catching everything. We need 1 point to win and i bid 14/28. my partner wanted to kill me, but i had AKQJ10deuce, and i can be a bit cocky at times, and this one definitely backfired. Playing against my maw maw and she's dealing and goes 28/56. She had AKQJ10943. Flops down all her cards and says to my aunt who was her partner, "i hope you have the deuce". She flips over the deuce, and that's the game. Never felt so deflated after a defeat, until 1/9/12.

I've held a Harpy Eagle specimen in the Natural History Museum at LSU when I was in Ornithology. 30 years later I'm still amazed at how big its feet and talons were.

They eat monkeys and sloths so they need big talons.

LSU has a REALLY strong Ornithology department, they are still finding new species. I joined some friends in a quest to find the White-Masked Antbird in Peru. It was discovered by Dan Lane who is with LSU Ornithology (he has discovered a number of other species). This required flying into a remote Amazon location (San Lorenzo) which is the only place in the world this bird can be found. It took 3 days but we found it. I don't think anybody knows how many are in the wild. The Harpy Eagle is more impressive and very hard to see, but I've seen rarer birds.

Hardly a fair fight, but if it had got hold of one of those guys...cat food and they’d have never seen it drag the guy off.

Was it shocking? Electrifying? Do you just feel this way currently?

I have much resistance in creating jokes related to such a tragedy.

No- 2011. Saw it twice in one day. Once in the morning headed East about 200-250 yards off the beach, then in the afternoon heading back west. Mind was blown.
