Under 5 is harder, but over five you take their food, seal it, and put it back in the fridge til they are hungry and dont let them have anything else til they have finished that. Dont just throw it away.
To be clear, my kids just don’t like to eat. And the “save it” thing is actually a joke in our family because our kids are constantly directing us to simply save it for later when they have no intention of eating it.
The older one has actually gotten way better in the past 6 months, so maybe you are right with that 5 y/o cutoff.
But the point is the whole food situation is complicated with young kids, getting them to eat right is a chore and some people don’t have that luxury to perform the chore. So assuming people are fat because they can’t meal prep like a single guy in their 20s is dumb, I’m practically begging my kids to eat more

What does a kid that is a picky eater have to do with an adult parent being fat? They are not mutually exclusive a d have no bearing on one another.

Having kids is a piss poor of an excuse.
Takes me 15 minutes to dump some chicken breasts in a slow cooker with some type of sauce
Or slap 8 turkey burgers down on a griddle
Frozen broccoli in microwave 5 minutes
Rice in microwave -7 minutes
No more than 10 minutes to wrap some potatoes or sweet potatoes in foil and throw them in the oven
You can easily meal prep for a week in 30 min to an hour on a day off

No, the point is you have no backbone, and your little shite stains run your house.

So you are cooking them too much and then not making them finish what they dont eat. This is all your fault man. Yes it's a chore, its parenting.
Some kids dont eat much and will survive on snacks. Theyll even skip dinner altogether cause they dont want to eat whatever it is. Knowing theyll get up the next morning and get to eat something they like.
That's when you hand them that leftover plate for breakfast.

Yeah, proper parenting can be "a chore".
